Company History

Rare Earth Landscape Inc. started in 1977 as a design and build landscape company specializing in custom residential gardens. Founded by Stephen Rudy, he and current owner Rick Gallo worked together closely for 40 years executing custom design and architect work. Today, the company is family owned and operated by Rick and his son-in-law, Brian Schwertscharf.

The California Landscape Contractors Association is a nonprofit trade organization of licensed landscape and landscape-related contractors. Also included among its approximately 3,200 members are landscape suppliers, landscape architects, public officials, educators, and students.
